It’s true! The Re-edit is Complete!
I can’t put into words the relief and excitement at completing the re-edits. While I know it could use more work, I’m happy with the final edit. I’m ready to move on to book two, plus a couple other books I have in the works. I’m so grateful for the work of my editor, Ramona (click here for her page), for all her hard work to find all the places that needed fixing.
What’s next, you ask? It’s formatting, basically putting it all together with the cover. I’m going to try a couple programs to see which one works better. Oh, and I have a new map to add. If all goes well, I should have book one up and ready to purchase by the end of the year. I’ll be the first to say, the editing struggle is real. I, honestly, didn’t think I would push through fast enough.
Now, to brag a little. I love my story. I still find it fun to read. I love my characters. I have been working on book one so long, that I haven’t fully detailed what will happen. I’m excited to see what surprises wait in store in the writing process. The second book is slightly more than an outline, it’s sitting at slightly under 44k words. There is still much to add and work out, but it’ll be just as fun and exciting. New characters and places, and plenty of surprises to Bischoff’s story. I’m really happy to move to the next book and share with you the exciting search for Manheim’s Treasure.
I hope you come back to read the updates and progress reports in the coming months. Also, feel free to add your email for a notice when a new post is up.
Happy Reading!
